Episode 0: Speaking of Charity Launch and Extended Audio Podcast

This is the first episode of Speaking of Charity, a podcast/radio show featuring the good work of local nonprofits and their leaders.  Gloria Morris started the initiative with the goal to feature 20-25 nonprofits in the next 12 months.  

This episode features Jen Vargo Okamura, Development Director for the Hospice of the Calumet Area. 

We are pleased to announce the Speaking of Charity Initiative!  We are here to help non-profits and their local leaders share their missions, histories and impact with the community through public media content.  Starting with Lake and Porter County in Northwest Indiana, we have partnered with WJOB to bring you live features on AM1 230 and FM 104.7 as well as Facebook Live.  Nominations are now being accepted through our website!  We are also looking for local volunteers to help us with various community initiatives to support these featured organizations in their time of need.  Interested in volunteering with us?
